The Toy Library 1 Year Anniversary Swap&Play in Carrigaline, Co. Cork

Welcome to The Toy Library 1st Anniversary!

Already one year has passed since we held our very first Swap&Play event, in the Carrigaline Bandstand, marking the official launch of TheToyLibrary.ie. Today, we celebrate this special milestone with a festive day together with our community, in the same place where everything started. We would love you to join the party! Come embrace new consumption paradigms towards a world of sustainable play.

What to Expect at the Event

🌟 Toy Swap and Play Bring up to 5 toys in good condition (no broken or incomplete items) to donate or swap. Didn’t bring toys? That’s okay—take home what you like!

🦄Eco-Temporary Tattoos Have fun with eco-friendly, plastic-free, toxic-free, skin-friendly, and vegan temporary tattoos!

🧸 Teddy Bear Hub Bring your teddy for a check-up and cuddles prescription.

How Does the Toy Swap Work?

Bring up to 5 toys (max) in very good condition.

You don’t need to donate toys to take toys—everyone is welcome to participate!

No extra small toys or extra large items (those can be listed on The Toy Library digital platform).

Leftover toys will be donated to local charities and libraries.

Event Details

The event is open to all The Toy Library members, make sure you have signed up for free on www.thetoylibrary.ie/signup before attending. No worries, in case you missed this step, you will be able to sign up on the event day, prior to check in!

The Toy Library is Ireland’s first circular economy platform for toys, freely available at www.thetoylibrary.ie. The social enterprise launched in June 2024 in Cork. In 2025, together with Local Authorities and conscious corporations, we are bringing our signature Swap&Play events all over the Republic of Ireland!
