Nia is a sensory-based, holistic dance movement and wellness practice designed to cultivate sustainability and vitality in the body. Nia nurtures every aspect of your life—body, mind, spirit, and emotions. Practiced barefoot, Nia's purpose is to inspire and guide people to listen to the wisdom of their body and choose movement that feels good. It’s a powerful fusion of dance arts, mindfulness practices, and Eastern philosophy from the martial arts - blending elements of Tai Chi, Taekwondo, Aikido, Jazz Dance, Modern Dance, Duncan Dance, and practices like Yoga, the Feldenkrais Method, and the Alexander Technique. It’s a beautiful fusion that enhances strength, flexibility, mobility, agility, and balance — while honoring each person’s unique body and energy.

One of Nia’s unique beauties is its ability to offer both physical and mental refreshment, fostering harmony, inner peace, and joy. It’s a graceful way to connect with your body, inject colour into your weekdays, and move to magical, inspiring music.

Join us to a self-discovery and rejuvenation through music, somatic & mindful movement practice and relaxation, used in Nia!
